Oil on Canvas

Absolutely Perfect

Done with oil painting, this piece revolves around the social stigma and stereotypes regarding body image. It portrays the pressure that a multitude number of people go through to conform to certain social standards of beauty. Such stress has been illustrated by the bondage of a rather discoloured figure, to fit into a beautiful, perfectly built human-figure coffin at the back. This is a reminder for both myself and others upon the importance of self-appreciation and the use of healthy measures to come into terms with self-image.
